LIBRARY & COLLECTION OPENS!
Moorabool Antique Galleries, Geelong, is pleased to announce the fruition of a long standing dream, that of a Ceramics reference collection. John & Lorraine Rosenberg have incubated the idea for several decades, as a means to share their love for the wonderful variety and beauty of antique ceramics. With the purchase of the present premises of Moorabool Antique Galleries in 2000, a perfect position was included. The building was once the home of the world-famous Hearns pharmacutical company, and on the second level was a long, separate gallery, once used as the chemistry lab.
This room has since been completely renovated, with large bookcases and display cabinets lining the room. In these cabinets and cases, a wonderful sight awaits the ceramics enthusiast - nearly 1,000 pieces of the most amazing variety of pottery & porcelain stretches floor to ceiling one side, while the other wall contains something even more valuable: the hundreds of books that have been written on ceramics over the years.
