Future Selling Exhibitions

This exhibition will include a host of fine pieces from the Rosenberg Collection, a de-acquisition event occuring due to the display of the collection in the Library at Moorabool Antique Galleries. The pieces offered were duplicating the period or area they represented, and as such were unneccesary. As a reference collection, condition of items kept was not the deciding factor; in fact, many of the pieces being sold are the more perfect of their kind, with the damaged pieces fulfilling their purpose in the permanent reference collection perfectly.

Many exciting pieces have been stored up over the past year for this selling exhibition. Some superb large scale Meissen figures from the mid 18th century sit amongst a collection of fine 18th & 19th century pieces from all over Europe. This is our annual 'Winter Exhibition', a theme that was once a feature of our year, and will be once again from now on.

Mr Herwig was a collector in Vietnam in the 1980's, until a tragic accident led to his collection being shipped back home to Australia. 20 years later, we are pleased to present a remarkable collection of high quality Vietnamese ceramics which stand as a testimony to his appreciation of these rare and early pieces. A great number of the pieces are pre-1500 AD, and their condition is on a whole remarkable.

A selection of quality ceramics, mostly Chinese, put together over the past 20 years by an Australian collector with Indonesian connections. This interesting groupage includes both monochromes and blue & white ranging in date from the Song to the Kanxi dynasties.
